Choosing a Venue
Oak Alley Plantation, Georgia
In years past most couples were married in a church and choosing a venue was a very simple decision. Today's couples have many alternatives and spend time researching and visiting various locations to  find the perfect one for their  wedding style, budget and size. Beautiful hotels, museums and even music halls are popular venues. For outdoor weddings, farms and gardens offer a peaceful, natural setting. A venue might be chosen that holds a special meaning for the bride or groom, such as a having a beach wedding because they have spent many happy hours together on the beach. Maybe the couple loves the look and feel of an old Italian villa and will spend time searching for a venue that completes their vision. Choosing a venue is one of the first decisions a couple should make in the wedding planning process and all design decisions will easily follow.
