Children As Wedding Guests

For the couple who is including children in their wedding, some thought and consideration must be given to accommodating the youngest guests. If the children are seated at a table especially designed for them, they will feel special and more likely to enjoy staying at the table during the reception. Placed on the table should be something to keep them interested and happy, such as activity books, coloring books, puzzles, or other small items. Food is another challenge when planning for children. If the children are older, they can be served what the adults are eating and served at the same time. If there is a buffet offered, the children can have their own separate buffet filled with kid-friendly food, such as mini hamburgers or pizza, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, macaroni and cheese and big bowls of fruit. If the needs of the children are met, the parents can enjoy their own meal and the activities of the reception and relax!
