Wedding House Party
A wedding house party is made up of friends or relatives of the bride who she would like to have a special part in the wedding, but are not bridesmaids. The house party can be made up of as many as the bride wishes and can perform whatever duties she would like at the wedding. Usually the house party passes out programs, welcomes guests, stands at the cake or favor table, or takes part in any other miscellaneous duties. The girls wear dresses of the same color, but choose the dresses themselves. The house party is a Southern tradition which is a sweet way to include those you would like to honor. Jenna Bush, daughter of former President George Bush, had her twin sister as her bridesmaid and included fourteen others in her house party!
