Pomanders
Pomanders, or "flower balls" are used in floral wedding design in several different and lovely ways. These spheres of tightly packed flowers are found gracing the reception tables, resting on candlesticks or other types of vases, alone or grouped for added effect. Pomanders can be used at outdoor receptions hanging from trees. Another beautiful addition to the wedding design is using pomanders as pew decor. Flower girls look even more adorable carrying a pomander with coordinating ribbon attached as they walk down the aisle.
Sturdy flowers, such as roses, carnations or mums work best in constructing a pomander, but any color of flower or a combination of colors can be used.
These are so pretty! I've seen them more and more recently and I'm tempted to try to make one.
ReplyDeleteI love the way pomanders are used in weddings! You should make one - I may do a post soon on a tutorial.
